- SuperSpeed Data Transmission Without Replacing Your Computer
With transfer speeds of up to 5Gbit/s, USB 3.0 is one of the fastest ways of transmitting data between a host controller (usually a computer) and a terminal device such as a hard drive, camera, printer or media device, which makes it ideal for use with demanding data transmissions such as media streaming or when working with HD video as well as for speeding up all standard transmission (e.g. sending jobs to the printer), all in all making your life a lot easier. However, as it is only recently that USB 3.0 has been introduced, your computer, unless new, is unlikely to have the relevant ports to allow for such a high speed connection.
The Hama USB 3.0 Express Card can change all that and provides you with an easy way in which to provide 2 x USB 3.0 ports for your notebook without going through the bother and expense of completely replacing it. Simply insert the card into the relevant slot in the computer in order to allow the connection of 2 USB 3.0 devices.
Wide Ranging Compatibility
Don’t worry about old devices with USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 connections either, these are still able to be connected to the Express Card’s USB 3.0 ports which are fully downward compatible so you don’t have to go around replacing everything. Furthermore, the Card is also fully compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7 systems, so will work with most modern computers to provide fast and convenient data transfer.
