CLEVER CHARGING ELECTRONICS
The Black Thunder can simultaneously charge four Dualshock4 controllers. But that’s not all – it has two USB interfaces for charging other devices, such as smartphones, tablets, PS3 and Xbox One controllers. To be able to offer so many charging possibilities, a charging station has to contain clever charging electronics. This charger recognises which interface is being used, and charges with full power always where needed. If all ports are being used, the energy is distributed evenly in accordance with the requirements of the individual connected devices. The high energy supply of the power supply unit (output power of 1.5 A) also makes this possible. This is how efficient but gentle charging works.
A WELL THOUGHT-OUT DESIGN
The two USB ports are installed on the side of the charging station, to avoid cable tangles; USB devices and controllers cannot get in each other’s way. With the Black Thunder, you don’t need to fiddle around with a holder. A simple movement is all that’s required to place the PS4 controllers in the station – ‘easy plug-in’ design is the keyword here.
The charge status LED indicates how long the gamer still has to wait before the battle can continue. The controllers are ready to go when the LED lights up blue. If the controllers are left in the station after charging, the charging station will automatically switch to power saving mode after five minutes.
PERMANENT LOCATION OR VARIED?
That is the question. The charging station offers solutions for both preferences. If you need a certain amount of order in your gaming environment in order to fully concentrate on the battle, you can securely attach the charger to a particular location using the adhesive strip. Should you wish to change the location at a later date, you can easily do so, as the strip can be removed without leaving any residue and subsequently reused. The advantage: nothing can slip can when you insert the controller into the charging station.
If, on the other hand, you are someone whose order and creativity lies in the midst of chaos, and would like freedom and flexibility when it comes to charging, you can attach the material-friendly teflon feet. The controller can then be charged wherever the game is running.
